1/14 scale Orion Spacecraft America's Next Manned ProgramAvailable and ready to ship within 24-48 hours..... This highly detailed, one-of-a-kind Orion spacecraft. The successor to the Space Shuttle and scheduled to fly by 2015, this is the craft that will take America back to the moon by 2020 and later to Mars. This highly detailed floor model is jammed packed with detail and would make a superb addition to any exhibit or collection. It shows the level of detail we went to with information that was provided by NASA. It was crated up right after a total of 3 of them were built in October 2008. No markings have been put on, as well as no nameplate at this point. I was planning to put United States and NASA markings on the crew module, and the Constellation and Orion logos on a nameplate which would be beside the astronaut figure. However any markings you desire along with whatever you would like on the nameplate can still be done at this point and added to the model.The model comes with an aluminum tri-pod base which comes apart for shipping. The ends of the tripod screw into the base with hex-head set screws and a small allen key tool comes with the model to aid in set-up. The high gain antenna deploys and stows. There is a tiny end that goes on to the antenna horn and that has to be added. Astronaut figure comes with the model and is pinned to fit into the base to stay upright. Solar panels lock into place with a set screw and allen key wrench, which is also included with the model. This means the wings can be set to any angle to make the model look more dynamic.The model comes with a re-useable shipping crate that has butterfly clasps and a hasp. Actual shipping freight will be charged for this item.The complete set sells for 8.550.00 and is ready to go. Markings and nameplate would not take long to produce at all, and it can ship to your choice of location. Full payment would have to be made prior to shipment.
